The following directory represents the bodies of water the Champaign Urbana Bass club consider to be home lakes. These lakes and rivers are fished at varying times throughout the year and varies from year to year.

Lake Clinton
Six miles east of Clinton is 4,900-acre Clinton Lake State Recreational Area on a vast, 15,000-acre preserve maintained by the state. The lake boasts 130 miles of shoreline, a beautiful 1,000-foot swimming beach, 300+ campsites, boat and canoe launch points, a marina, and numerous hiking trails and picnic sites.

Anglers cast for hybrid striped bass, frequently exceeding 10 lbs. in weight. Water skiing is another warm weather sport; in winter, Clinton Lake offers ice-skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Hikers can follow two trails – 3.5 and 12 miles long – as well as a third, 10-mile trail also open to cross country skiers and horseback riders.
